Mob lynchings of Muslims have become the new normal in India as more than 10 cases of brutal lynchings have been reported in 50 days during a pandemic. In the latest case, a 27-year-old Muslim youth named Mohammed Ismail, was beaten to death by a mob in Jokihat in Bihar’s Araria district on Saturday night. The incident took place in Yadav Tola area, falling under Jokihat police station area. Jammu Drone Attack- Himachal Pradesh, Punjab Put on High Alert

A day after two bombs were dropped on an Indian Air Force (IAF) station in Jammu, the governments in Himachal Pradesh and Punjab have notified a high alert in districts bordering the Union Territory of Jammu Kashmir, reports said. On Sunday, two IAF personnel were injured in the explosions that took place around 1.40 am. The first blast ripped off the roof of a single-storey building at the high-security technical area of the airport manned by the air force in Satwari area on the outskirts of the city. The Inspector-General of Police Kashmir Vijay Kumar on Monday visited Hariparigam Village of Awantipora and expressed condolences with the family of SPO Fayaz Ahmad. SPO Fayaz Ahmad, his wife Raja Begum and their daughter Rafiya(23) were killed in firing by suspected militants at their home late last night. A policeman was killed while two of his family members were killed after unknown gunmen attacked him at his home in Hariparigam village of Awantipora in South kashmir's Pulwama district on Sunday late evening. An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that unknown gunmen attacked the cop identified as Fayaz Ahmad at his home, in which the cop received grievous injuries.
