One killed, two injured in Accident In Anantnag

One person was killed and two others were injured in a road accident in the Achabal area of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Tuesday evening. Reports reaching said that a man was killed and two others injured after a Venue vehicle (JK03K- 6600) turned turtle and fell into a deep gorge at Achabal near the police station. They said that the injured were immediately rushed to a nearby hospital. A police official identified the deceased as Riyaz Ahmad Mir Son of Abdul Ahad Mir of Gopal Khurd Anantnag. He said that a case under relevant sections of laws has been registered in the concerned police station and further investigation taken up.

Jammu & Kashmir reported 166 new coronavirus cases even as there was no death due to the virus in the last 24 hours, officials said on Tuesday. 18 of the new cases were reported from Jammu Division and 148 from Kashmir Valley, taking the overall case tally to 325419. An employee of Power Development Department (PDD) was electrocuted to death on Tuesday in Khag area of central Kashmir's Budgam district. Police sources told news agency Kashmir Dot Com (KDC) that Mohammad Amin (lineman) son of Abdul Khaliq Bhat of Sodipora Budgam was electrocuted to death while he was repairing a high transmission line at Kanchatpora area of Khag. They said Bhat was immediately shifted to SDH Beerwah where doctors declared him dead. After completing medico-legal formalities the body of Bhat will be handed over to his family for his burial, they added.
