Islamic Fraternity – a Kashmir based religious organization, has relocated the venue of its proposed conference themed on rising suicides to Jamia Masjid Rangtaing in Kawadara Srinagar from previously selected venue at Aali Masjid, Srinagar. President Islamic Fraternity, Muhammad Aamir Al-Kashmiri, in a statement issued to GNS said that the organization has been denied permission to hold the conference at Aali Masjid Srinagar after the mosque management informed them that the mosque has been taken over by Waqf Board. Two persons were injured in two separate incidents of bear attacks in twin villages of the Kangan area here in Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Wednesday. Reports said that 70-year-old Ghulam Ahmed Sheikh S/O Mohd Sediq Sheikh R/O Check Akhal was seriously injured by a bear near his house this afternoon. He was rescued by locals and was rushed to Sub-District Hospital Kangan wherefrom he was referred to SKIMS Soura. In another incident at the same time, 53-year old woman Mukhti Begum W/O Mohd Subhan Lone was also attacked at Gounchi Mohalla Akhal just a few meters from the previous spot. The Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) under Accelerated Recruitment Drive today successfully conducted Computer Based Test (CBT) for various posts of Health & Medical Education Department advertised vide Advertisement Notification No. 02 of 2021. The aforesaid examination was conducted in multiple batches from 17.08.2021 to 25.08.2021 at 35 examination venues in Jammu, Srinagar, Baramulla & Budgam. 60723 unique candidates were scheduled to appear in the CBT examination, out of which 43316 candidates appeared( 71%) in the said examination.
