Muslim Girl Tops West Bengal Higher Secondary Exams 2021

An 18-year-old Muslim girl named Rumana Sultana has obtained the highest marks in West Bengal Higher Secondary exams 2021. As per reports, Rumana has scored 498 out of 500 marks — 99 in Bengali, 100 in English, 100 in bioscience, 100 in chemistry, 99 in physics, and 100 in maths. Rumana wants to become a doctor and hopes to crack the medical entrance exam. Rumana, from Kandi Raja Manindra Chandra Girls’ High School from Murshidabad in West Bengal, comes from a family of teachers. Her father Rabi ul Alam is the headmaster of Gaisabad Achala Vidyamandirin Bharatpur in Murshidabad. Her Mother Sultana Parveen is also a teacher.

The state news agency (SPA) on Sunday reported that Saudi Arabia will begin receiving Umrah pilgrimage requests from abroad for vaccinated pilgrims starting from August 9, after almost 1.5 years of not receiving overseas worshippers due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Mecca and Medina will welcome visitors from abroad to their mosques with a capacity of 60,000- 2 million pilgrims per month while maintaining Covid-19 precautionary measures.
