BJP leader dies of heart attack in Baramulla’s Rafiabad

Senior leader of Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) DK Nehru died of cardiac arrest at his home in Rafiabad area of North Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Tuesday morning. An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that DK Nehru fell unconscious at his home last night following which he was rushed to a nearby hospital. He said that he was referred to Srinagar hospital for advanced treatment, where he died today morning—(KNO)

A top LeT militant Babar Ali was killed in a gunfight in Chandaji area of North Kashmir's Bandipora district on Tuesday. Inspector General of Police Kashmir Vijay Kumar told GNS that the slain militant of today's encounter was part of same group who were killed on 24th July in Shokbaba forest. The slain militant has been identified as Babar Ali of Ugada district of Punjab, Pakistan. After his escape in Shokbaba Gunfight, he was being continously tracked and was engaged today, IGP added.
