Adani Group to Shut Multi-Modal Logistics Park in Ludhiana as a result of 7-Month long Blockade by Protesting Farmers

As per a report by Business Line, Adani Logistics Ltd is shuttering operations at its rail-linked Inland Container Depot (ICD) at Kilaraipur, in Ludhiana. The news comes after a 7-month long blockade by protesting farmers agitating over the controversial farm bills passed by the Centre that rendered the facility idle causing huge losses to the group. The protestors have blocked the main gate of the ICD since January 2021. They've placed a tractor trolley, barring the movement of goods and personnel which led to a halt in operations at the facility. This multi-modal logistics park at Kilaraipur, which is spread over 80 acres, was opened in 2017. The Jammu Kashmir administration has announced the National Anthem Singing Competition-2021 in the region. As India is celebrating 75 years of independence and commemorating it as ‘Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav’, the administration's initiative has called upon all the individuals and groups to take part in the singing competition. All the individual & group winners will get a chance to sing National Anthem at their respective district or division level Independence Day, 2021 celebrations. To be eligible for the competition, the individual or group members must be the domicile of Jammu Kashmir and not below the age of 13 years.

No Passports, Government Jobs for “Anti-Nationals”- Jammu Kashmir Administration

The Jammu Kashmir administration on Sunday issued orders that prohibit passport clearance, no provision of government jobs, among other restraints for people engaging in Anti National behaviour. The CID Special Branch Kashmir, as per a report by News 18, has directed all its units to deny security clearance to all those involved in law and order issues, stone-throwing and other activities prejudicial to the security of the state. All evidence including police records will be taken into consideration for this.
