According to reports reaching The Kashmiriyat, police party of Police Post Reshipora during a Naka, arrested one person who was moving in a suspicious manner at Kawani crossing Awantipora. "The arrested drug peddler was identified as Sheeraz Ahmad Bhat son of Sonaullah Bhat, a resident of Kawani," a police official said. He also added that 20 Kgs of grinded cannabis carried in two nylon bags was recovered from the possession of arrested person. According to a statement by the Home Department, the two-member SIT will be headed by DG CB-CID G.L. Meena and ADG zone Bhanu Bhaskar. The SIT has been asked to submit its report within seven days. At least 16 sheep were reportedly crushed to death by a speedy tipper in south-Kashmir’s Pulwama district. A nomad (Bakarwal) party was carrying sheep towards Poonch when an unknown tipper hit the livestock near Darul-ul-Uloom Malwari Newa.
