Unemployment Rate in Jammu Kashmir Touches 21.6 Per cent, Highest in India

Jammu Kashmir has registered the highest unemployment rate in India with the unemployment rate climbing to 21.6 percent. According to the Centre for Monitoring Indian Economy (CMIE) figures, with 21. 6 per cent unemployment, Jammu Kashmir has the highest unemployment in India. The unemployment rates are produced by CMIE using its Consumer Pyramids Household Survey machinery. CMIE data reveals that India’s unemployment rate is 6.9 percent which means Jammu Kashmir has much higher unemployment rate than the national average. According to the CMIE data, the unemployment rate in Jammu Kashmir has jumped from over 13 percent in August 2021 to 21.6 percent in September. Teacher shoots Himself Dead With 12 Bore Rifle In Kishtwar

A teacher committed suicide by shooting himself dead with 12 bore weapon in Kishtwar district on Tuesday, officials said. They said that the teacher Majid Muzafar Najar fired from the weapon at his home in Shakti Nagar area of Kishtwar, leading to his on the spot death. A police official told GNS rifle has been seized while an FIR has been registered. “Investigation is going on,” he said. Reshipora Awantipora Inhabitants Protest Over Unavailability of Water Supply

Scores of inhabitants from Reshipora Awantipora Tuesday lodged a protest and blocked Naina-Padgampora road over persistent water shortage in the area. The protesters, as per GNS, staged a sit-in in the middle of the road bringing the vehicular traffic to a complete halt. Sheikh Nadeem A residential house was completely gutted in a fire mishap in Rajbhat locality of Sunbrari in south Kashmir's Anantnag district during the intervening night of Sunday and Monday. A local told The Kashmiriyat that fire broke out in the residential house of Farooq Ahmad Bhat and Bilal Ahmad Bhat, living in a joint house. The late night fire turned the belongings of the family into ashes. There are 13 family members who lived under the same roof.
