A 19-year-old youth from south Kashmir's Kulgam district was killed after a truck he was on board collided with a dumper in Haryana’s Panipat district. Identified as Mohsin Irshad Bhat son of Irshad Ahmad Bhat, a resident of Reenipora Kulgam, the youth as per a family member was fatally injured when a truck bearing registration number JK18A 2310 he was on board was reportedly hit by a dumper this evening. “We were informed that he succumbed after some time,” the family member told GNS. “We are on our way to ferry back the mortal remains,” he further said. A soldier was detained at the Srinagar International Airport on Thursday after airport security recovered a live round from his baggage. Official sources told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that during screening at the drop gate of the Srinagar International Airport, one live round of INSAS rifle was recovered from the baggage of a soldier, who was immediately detained for questioning. “The soldier has been identified as HC Sham Lal Son of Channi Lal, resident of Akhnoor, Jammu who is currently posted at 79 Brigade Baramulla,” officials said. Two School Teachers Shot Dead at Eidgah, Srinagar

On Thursday, the news came to the fore that two teachers had been shot dead in the Safakadal area of Srinagar, Jammu Kashmir. One of the slain was a female teacher. Both were reportedly shot dead at Government Boys Higher Secondary School, Idgah, Srinagar. It has emerged that the slain male teacher was a Pandit - Deepak, while the female teacher was a Sikh - Satinder Kaur. Sources say that Satinder Kaur was a resident of Allochibagh while Deepak was a resident of Jammu. Both were shifted to SKIMS, reportedly, where they were declared brought dead on arrival.
