The Government Forces on Sunday morning claimed to have made a major success after they recovered a consignment of weapons dropped by a drone from Pakistan. An AK rifle, three magazines, 30 bullets and a telescope were recovered from the dropped packet. According to officials, the seizure was made from Saunjana village in Phalain mandal, about six kilometers from the International Border. A 45-year-old man who was fired upon by unknown gunmen succumbed to the injuries at a hospital here, officials said. Medical Superintendent SMHS hospital Dr. Kanwar Jeet Singh said that the man, Mohammad Shafi Dar son of Abdul Rehman Dar of Batamaloo at SD Colony Batamaloo area of Srinagar, succumbed to the wounds. The gunmen had fired upon Dar at about 2000 hours at SD Colony Batamaloo. Dar, an employee of PDD, had received critical gunshot injuries and was immediately shifted to nearby SMHS hospital for the treatment of his injuries. 24-year-old youth Dies After Falling down from Walnut Tree

A 24-year-old youth succumbed to injuries after falling from a walnut tree in an adjacent village in Lolab area in this north-Kashmir district on Saturday afternoon. Reports reaching GNS said that the youth Bilal Ahmad Bhat son Abdul Khaliq Bhat, resident of Sivere Kawari fell from a tree while harvesting walnuts at Warnow Chekk area. Suhail Dar Suspected militants on Saturday afternoon hurled a grenade towards CRPF bunker at KP road area of South Kashmir's Anantnag district. An official of Jammu Kashmir Police said that militants hurled a grenade towards the CRPF bunker located near Oxford School in outskirts of Anantnag town.
