4267 new companies registered in last six years in J&K: Ministry of Corporate Affairs

The Ministry of Corporate Affairs Monday informed the parliament that a total of 4267 new companies have been registered by the Registrar of Companies between April 2016 to March 2021 in the union territory of Jammu and Kashmir. The Minister of State (MoS) Rao Inderjit Singh in the Ministry of Corporate Affairs was replying to the queries raised in the Lok Sabha on Monday. Notably, the winter session of the parliament began today during which several queries were raised while the main focus of the day remained farm law bills. 177 Army, CAPF Men Killed In Over 1000 Militant Attacks In Last 3 Years In J&K: Govt

Jammu and Kashmir has witnessed over a thousand militant attacks on army and Central Armed Police Forces in last years’ since 2019 in J&K and 177 personnel were killed, government informed parliament on Monday. Replying to a by parliamentarian Anand Sharma in the Rajya Sabha, presently in winter session, Minister of Defence Ajay Bhatt said that 594 militant attacks were recorded in 2019, 244 in 2020 and 195 as on Mid November. He said that while 80 security forces personnel include CAPF were killed in 2019, 62 in 2020 and 35 till 15 November 2021. 3 shops gutted in massive fire at Boniyar

At least three shops were gutted in a massive fire that broke out in the Boniyar market in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Monday evening. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that the fire erupted from a shop of Muneer Ahmad Bhat and eventually spread to other adjacent shops which also belong to him. Locals from the area launched a rescue operation to douse off raging flames. However, before the fire could be controlled, three shops belonging to Muneer Ahmad Bhat were razed to debris.  

J&K Reports 150 New Covid-19 Cases, 1 Death

Jammu and Kashmir reported 150 fresh covid-19 cases while one person succumbed to the virus in the last 24 hours, officials said on Monday. Among the fresh cases, 28 were reported from Jammu Division and 122 from Kashmir, taking the overall tally to 336681. There was one death from Kashmir division due to the virus during the last 24 hours, they said. So far 4476 persons—2185 in Jammu and 2291 in Kashmir—have died due to the virus, they said.
