21-year-old youth dies in Kulgam road accident, two others injured

Danishwar Hameed One person was killed, two others injured in a road accident in the Chatbal area of Kulgam district. An official told The Kashmiriyat that on Tuesday noon, a two wheeler collided with a tipper in the Chatbal area, causing injuries to three persons. The trio was rushed to the hospital, however, one of them succumbed to his injuries. The deceased was identified as Altaf Ahmed Sheikh, son of Ali Mohd Sheikh , a resident of Mirhama Kulgam. At least 107 incidents of man-animal conflict were reported in Central Kashmir this year, informed DFO Wild Life Warden on Monday. Wild Life Warden, Central, Altaf Hussain while giving information said that 43 incidents of man-animal conflict were reported in Srinagar alone followed by 39 in Ganderbal and 25 in Khrew. He said 21 persons sustained injuries in wild animal attacks, mostly from bears. “Two persons were injured in Srinagar, 17 in Ganderbal and two suffered injuries in Khrew,” Altaf Hussain said.
