Rayees Shah Police on Thursday recovered a dead body from Power Canal at Thune area of Kangan in central Kashmir's Ganderbal Police sources said. A Police official told The Kashmiriyat that locals saw a dead body that was floating in Power Canal at Thune area of Kangan under the jurisdiction of Police station Kangan. He said soon after receiving the information police team from P/S Kangan reached the spot and fished out the body from Power Canal with the help of locals The deceased has been identified as Mushtaq Ahmad Bijard Son of Dilpazer Bijard, a resident of Harganiwan Kangan. A male body was found under mysterious circumstances in Nowgam area of Verinag area of South Kashmir's Anantnag district on Thursday. An official told news agency--Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that a body of youth was found by some locals under mysterious circumstances in Nowgam, Verinag who accordingly informed police. He said accordingly police party rushed to the spot and took body into their custody after which it has been shifted to GMC Anantnag for postmortem. He identified him as Aijaz Ahmad Wagay (28) son of Ghulam Hassan Wagay resident of Nowgam Verinag. Two persons were killed and several others were injured when a bus they were travelling in turned turtle in Rajouri district on Thursday.
