When the government's thrust is on digitisation, frequent suspension of the internet on “flimsy grounds” is uncalled for and must be avoided, a parliamentary panel has said, as per a PTI report. The Meteorological department in Jammu Kashmir has predicted widespread snowfall from 4th to 6th December, 2021. The first snow spell of this winter in Jammu Kashmir and adjoining area is most likely to occur from the 4th evening to 6th evening with the main activity on 5th, MeT director, Sonam Lotus said. He said that snowfall will likely commence from late night of 4th increasing gradually in intensity and spatial distribution with peak on 5th. "The plains of Kashmir will likely receive light (2-3 Inches) of snowfall whereas higher reaches >2000m of JK may receive moderate snowfall (upto 6-7 inches)," he said.
