‘Akbar Allahabadi is Akbar Prayagraji now’- UP officials now change pen-names of deceased poets

After the Yogi Adityanath Government changed the name of Allahabad to Prayagraj, the authorities in Uttar Pradesh has changed the names of deceased poets too. The pen-name (Tahkhallus) of famous Urdu poet Akbar Allahabadi now stands changes to Akbar 'Prayagraji'. Names of several other poets from the Allahabad area have been changed too. On the UP Higher Education Services Commission's website, the names of Akbar Allahabadi, Rashid Allahabadi and Tegh Allahabadi as Akbar Prayagraj, Rashid Prayagraj, and Tegh Prayagraj respectively. Report of Magisterial Probe in Hyderpora Encounter received: JK Administration

The Jammu and Kashmir Home department on Tuesday said that it has received the inquiry report regarding Hyderpora encounter and the same has been sent to the concerned Judicial magistrate. In a statement, the department said that district magistrate has been advised to send the report to judicial magistrate under section 190 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973, as mandated under law. Hospital in Sheeri Baramulla becomes first in Jammu Kashmir to get NQAS certification

The Primary Health Centre (PHC) in Sheeri, J&K, received the National Quality Assurance Standard (NQAS) certification, making it the first public hospital in Kashmir Division to do so. The Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) recently awarded the PHC Sheeri the NQAS certification for maintaining high quality and performance criteria. The residents thanked the government for the certificate, and the Block Medical Officer promised to "keep up the obtained achievement" in the future. Minor Muslim girl raped, murdered in Uttar Pradesh

Four days after she went missing, the body of a minor was found in a sugarcane field in Uttar Pradesh’s Moradabad. A report by the Times of India quoted a senior Police official saying that the minor girl was abducted, raped, and murdered. The body of the deceased minor was found by a farmer who went to his field on Friday. The farmer started looking for the body as a foul smell was emanating from the area. Jaswinder Singh Multan, a top member of Sikhs for Justice (SFJ), has been arrested in Germany for allegedly being the main conspirator of the December 23 blast in the Ludhiana district court complex which killed one person and injured five others, sources said.
