On Thursday morning a massive fire broke out in a house in the Keran Village of Kupwara District, reducing the establishment into complete ashes. Flight operation resumes at Srinagar airport; 38 operate, 6 cancelled

After early morning hiccups due to poor visibility, flight operations resumed at the Srinagar International Airport following improvement in wet weather conditions on Thursday. Officials said that after early morning delays and cancellations, flights landed and took off at the Srinagar airport as the visibility increased from 400M early in the morning to 1500M around noon. “38 flights operated so far,” Director, Airports Authority of India, Srinagar, Kuldeep Singh told GNS. 3-year-old kid injured in stray dog attack in Pattan, Second incident of the month

A three-year-old kid was seriously injured in a dog attack in Singhpora village of Pattan town here in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district. This was the second attack from the stray dogs in the same village. Earlier in the first week of this month stray dogs had mauled a 12-year old boy to death. 20 Hours of Search: No Trace of Six Persons missing at Margan Top

Even after more than 24 hours having passed, there is no clue about six people who had gone missing amidst heavy snowfall in the upper areas of Jammu Kashmir's Kishtwar district. Director of Disaster Management, Amir Ali said that six people from Warwan village of Kishtwar had gone on foot from Anantnag district of South Kashmir via Margan Top and they left Margan top more than 20 hours ago, but have not reached their home yet. "Since then there is no information about them," the official said. Earlier the police said, more than 50 tourists stranded in Sonmarg have been evacuated after heavy snowfall. Police further urged people to not go to higher reaches in view of bad weather and continuous heavy snowfall.

JK Reports 75 Fresh Covid-19 Cases, No Death

Jammu Kashmir reported 75 fresh Covid-19 cases even as there was no death due to the virus in the last 24 hours, officials said on Thursday. They said 52 of the fresh cases were reported from Jammu Division and 23 from Kashmir Division, taking the overall tally to 452722 . Bangladeshi national visiting Kashmir without passport arrested

The Indian Army detained a Bangladeshi national from North Kashmir’s Baramulla district for traveling to India without any passport. Sources told news agency Kashmir News Trust that Army handed over a Bangladeshi national to police after detaining him in border area Uri.
