The Administrative Council (AC) which met here under the chairmanship of the Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha, today approved the Policy for Promotion of Foreign Investment in the industrial sector in Jammu and Kashmir- 2022. Farooq Khan and Rajeev Rai Bhatnagar, Advisors to the Lieutenant Governor, Dr. Arun Kumar Mehta, Chief Secretary, J&K, and Nitishwar Kumar, Principal Secretary to the Lieutenant Governor attended the meeting. Vehicle lifter gang: Police arrest 7 accused so for, recover 15 stolen vehicles

After busting the gang of vehicle lifters, recovering stolen vehicles, police in Central Kashmir’s Budgam district have made one more arrest in this regard and have recovered two more stolen vehicles. Heavy snowfall: Six family members rescued in Kulgam after house damaged

Amid heavy snowfall, district administration Kulgam on Wednesday rescued six family members in Tangmarg Aharbal area after their house got damaged. Tehsildar Damhal Hanjipora, Niyaz Ahmad Bhat speaking to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) said the family of Mohammad Iqbal Sheikh son of Karim Sheikh, a resident of Tangmarg was rescued by our team after their roof of house got damaged. 41 Flights cancelled due to snowfall at Srinagar airport

All flights scheduled to operate at Srinagar international airport were cancelled due to snowfall on Wednesday. Director, Airports Authority of India, Srinagar, Kuldeep Singh told GNS that 41 flights were to operate but snowfall forced their cancellation. As per airlines, the passengers will be adjusted in the forthcoming flights in next available flights. While weather is set to improve as per the forecast by the local meteorological department, the Director AAI expressed hope that all flights will operate tomorrow. Two ‘Militant Helpers’ arrested in Baramulla: Police

Woman injured after shed collapsed in Achan Pulwama shifted to hospital in JCB: Locals

PULWAMA
A woman was injured after a shed collapsed due to heavy snowfall in Achan village of Litter Tehsil in south Kashmir's Pulwama district. Locals told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), that a lady namely Arifa Banoo (45) wife of Mohammad Shafi Dar was cooking in a shed when it collapsed resulting in injuries to the said lady. They said due to accumulation of snow on the road, they were unable to take her to hospital following which a JCB was called in to take her to the hospital. Locals have requested administration to clear main roads at an earliest so that people won't face any problems.
