Police have seized 13 vehicles for illegal mining and extraction of minerals in Dooru area of Anantnag district on Sunday. 13 vehicles were seized during illegal extraction in Dooru Anantnag .SHO Syed Nazir Andrabi along with team launched a drive to enforce the ban on illegal material extraction from Brengi Nallah and Nallah Sandran in Anantnag district. After specific inputs of illegal extraction in zaldoora Shankerpora and Jaal Kreeri area of dooru area was raided by SHO Dooru. Army trooper from Budgam dies of heart attack in Leh

An army trooper from central Kashmir Budgam district died due to cardiac arrest in Leh district, official sources said on Tuesday. Revenue official in Bijbehara suspended over ‘casual approach’ towards stopping of encroachments

Sub Divisional Magistrate Bijbehara Tuesday placed Patwari, Patwar Halqa Wopzan Bijbehara under suspension for ‘casual approach’ towards preventing encroachments. As per the order issued here, the Patwari has been placed under suspension, for casual approach towards removal of encroachment, with immediate effect and shall remain attached with the office of SDM Bijbehara. Tehsildar Bijbehara has been in the meantime directed to conduct an inquiry into the matter and submit a detailed report within 10 days. (GNS)
