At least fifty eight organizations have called for the release of Kashmiri journalist, Fahad Shah in detention since February 04. The press freedom organizations wrote the letter on Monday addressed to Jammu Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha seeking his intervention to release Kashmiri journalists. The Jammu Kashmir Police had summoned Fahad Shah- editor of Srinagar-based magazine 'The Kashmir Walla' regarding a story his magazine reported after the Pulwama encounter on January 30. Police on Saturday claimed to have arrested three alleged persons in connection with kidnapping and sexually assaulting a minor girl in Srinagar district. In a statement issued to GNS, the police said that on 11th Feb, Police Station Bemina recieved a complaint from a resident of mansoor Colony Bemina( Name withheld) that his minor daughter has been abducted by unknown persons. Accordingly a case FIR no 02/2022 was registered under relevant sections of law at PS Bemina. Upon receipt of this information Bemina police immediately started the investigation & recovered the missing girl from TRC.
