More than 4300 Russian soldiers killed so far: Ukraine

Ukraine’s deputy defense minister on Sunday claimed that Ukraine has killed 4,300 Russian troops in fighting so far. Hanna Malyar in a statement posted on Facebook that the exact number was being clarified, but Ukrainian forces had roughly destroyed about 146 tanks, 27 aircraft and 26 helicopters. There was no immediate response to the claims from Moscow, Al Jazeera reported. Meanwhile, Russian troops have entered Ukraine’s second-largest city, Kharkiv, where street fighting is now taking place.

A 47-year-old man from Damhal Hanjipora belt of south Kashmir’s Kulgam district was found hanging in a rented accommodation at Amnoo Kulgam on Sunday afternoon, officials said. An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the man identified as Mushtaq Ahmad Dar (47) son of Sona-Ullah Dar, a resident of D K Marg Kulgam was found hanging in rented accommodation in Amnoo village. The 278-km-long Jammu-Srinagar highway was reopened for traffic on Sunday after remaining closed for few hours due to landslides, triggered by rains. Anantnag man gets 9 year imprisonment for murdering brother over property dispute

Suhail Dar A court in the Anantnag district of Jammu Kashmir awarded life imprisonment to a man for killing his brother with an axe in a bid to grab his property nearly nine years ago. Ghulam Nabi Bhat son of Mal Akad, resident of  Anantnag killed his 33-year-old brother, Mohammad Shafi, on 3 March 2013 over a property dispute. Naseer Ahmad Dar, the Principal Sessions Judge Anantnag also imposed a fine of Rs 10,000 on the convict. The deceased is survived by a widow and three children, who were minors at the time of the murder in 2013. "While passing the sentence upon the convict, the question of compensation of the victims of the crime is also to be taken into consideration," the court said.
