The Jammu Kashmir Police will soon file a charge sheet against three persons, including a juvenile, in the recent Srinagar acid attack case to ensure exemplary punishment for them and to create deterrence among those having such ”barbaric” tendencies, a top police officer said on Monday. Inspector General (Kashmir range) Vijay Kumar also appealed to girls and their parents to inform police in time if anyone is stalking or harassing them. 52-year-old porter dies after falling from a tree in Poonch

A 52-year-old porter died after falling from a tree at Banpat sector of Poonch, officials said Monday. They identified him as Trilok Kumar Bali son of Sunder Dass Bali of Jhulass Poonch. They said he was porter with Army at Banpat sector Poonch. The body was brought to District hospital Poonch for medico-legal formalities. SHO Poonch S D Singh confirmed the death of Bali and said that as per preliminary details he was working as permanent porter with the army.

Indian Border Security Force Sunday said that it killed three alleged Pakistani intruders in Bainglard area of Jammu’s Samba Sector along the international border.
