The directorate of health services Kashmir has cited at least 2274 illegal and fake appointments in the department across all districts of Kashmir with Bandipora, Budgam and Ganderbal topping the list. Jammu Kashmir receives 4114 applications for establishing industrial units; land allotment to begin this month: Report

The Jammu Kashmir administration has received a mammoth 4,114 online applications for the establishment of business units in the region under the Jammu Kashmir Land Allotment policy with a pledge of Rs 44,327 crore in investment. According to a report by Deccan Herald, a total of 1,919 industrial units were established in Kashmir since 1947. The LG Manoj Sinha-led administration is in process of allotting land to about 1,200 new units for "industrial development" in the region. The land allotment process is likely to begin this month. 27th consecutive Friday- Authorities disallow prayers at Jamia Masjid Srinagar

Authorities did not allow congregational prayers in Srinagar’s Jamia Masjid for the 27th consecutive Friday today. Jamia Masjid has mostly remained closed post the abrogation of Article 370 in August 2019. The last time prayers were allowed in the mosque was in August 2021, after which the mosque was shut by the authorities. Anjuman Auqaf Jamia Masjid Srinagar, the body that manages the affairs of the mosque, expressed strong resentment over the decision. The force personnel was deployed in large numbers and the gates of the mosque locked disallowing the entry of devotees into the grand mosque.

Trio suffered 18-20 per cent burn injuries in hands, feet: MS SMHS At least three employees of Power Development Department (PDD) were on Friday injured after they received an electric shock in Rawalpora area of Srinagar. Official sources said that three PDD employees electrocuted while repairing service line in Rawalpora area. The trio identified as Nazir Ahmad, Tariq Ahmad and Ghulam Muhammad were immediately rushed to SMHS hospital for treatment. 25-year-old biker dies of road accident in Srinagar

A biker died in a road accident near Shalteng Parimpora area of Srinagar on Friday afternoon. Hospital sources told that a biker who had met with an accident was brought to the SMHS Hospital where doctors declared him dead on arrival.
