An accidental fire caused by short-circuit triggered a series of powerful explosions at a military depot in Pakistan's Punjab province on Sunday morning, sparking rumours that the key army installation was targeted by terrorists. The accidental fire broke out in ammunition shed near Sialkot garrison, some 100 kms from Lahore. Pakistan Army's media wing - the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) - issued a statement, saying "due to short-circuiting, accidental fire broke out in an ammunition shed near Sialkot Garrison. The Central Government had approved creating 3,000 government jobs in 2015 for Kashmiri migrants in Jammu Kashmir out of which, only 1,739 migrants have been appointed and 1,098 others selected for the jobs. The BJP Government has built only 17 percent of the proposed accommodation for Kashmiri Pandits till February 2022, The Hindu reported. In 2015, the Centre had announced that 6,000 accommodation units will be constructed for the Kashmiri Pandits. A casual labourer of Power Development Department (PDD), who was critically wounded while repairing a HT-wire at Batpora area of Kunzar in north Kashmir's Baramulla district, succumbed to his inju­ries on Sunday.
