Anti-Corruption Bureau on Sunday arrested a technician for demanding and accepting Rs 25000 bribe for processing power agreement case in Anantnag. In a statement issued to news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), ACB said it arrested Vinood Kumar Fotedar, Technician-2nd in the office of Assistant Executive Engineer, Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited(KPDCL), Anantnag for demanding and accepting bribe of Rs 25,000/- for processing power agreement case. 03 LeT militants killed Pulwama gunfight: Police

Three militants of Lashkar-i-Toiba oufit were killed in a gunfight at Pahoo area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Sunday, an official said. A senior police officer while confirming to GNS that three militants of LeT have been killed. Earlier a joint team of Police and army launched a cordon and search operation in the area. As the joint team of forces zeroed towards the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired on the joint team, which was retaliated triggering off a gunfight.(GNS)

Two Militants have been killed during an encounter that raged between militants and government forces in the Pahoo area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district. An official earlier told The Kashmiriyat that on Sunday afternoon, RR of the Indian Army, Jammu Kashmir Police and CRPF launched a joint launched cordon and search operation in the Pahoo area of Kulgam. During the cordon, the hiding militants fired upon the forces, triggering off a gunfight, he said. Two militants have been killed, who are yet to be identified. As per the latest report, the search operation is still going on.
