An 18-year-old youth has gone missing from his home in Srinagar's Khanyar area since Saturday afternoon. Speaking to The Kashmiriyat, the family members of Natish Ahmed Wani, son of Shakeel Ahmed Wani, a resident of  Babdum Khaniyar area of Srinagar appealed him to return home. "He left his home on Saturday afternoon and did not return home, which caused panic among the family members. We called him, but his phone has been switched off since then," the family members said. The Government of India on Wednesday ordered the transfer of of six IAS and IPS officers of AGMUT cadre to Jammu Kashmir with immediate effect. As per an order, a copy of which lies with news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), four IAS and two IPS have been transferred to Jammu Kashmir. According to the order, Devansh Yadav, Ayushi Sudan and Minga Sherpa, all three IAS officers of AGMUT cadre, have been transferred to J&K from Arunachal Pradesh while Rashmi Singh has been transferred from Delhi. With 94.5 tonnes, Jammu Kashmir has second highest carbon reserves

Jammu Kashmir has the second-highest carbon reserves in the country after Andaman and Nicobar Islands, according to a report published by the Indian Government's NITI Aayog. Carbon reserves is the amount of carbon that has been sequestered from the atmosphere and is now stored within the forest ecosystem, mainly within living biomass and soil, and to a lesser extent also in deadwood and litter.
