Nine girls, mostly teenagers from an Islamic seminary have memorized the holy Quran in less than a year. These girls who study at the Jamia Syeda Hafsa Darul Aloom hail from Kashmir's Bandipora, Kupwara, Pulwama and Srinagar districts. Another girl from the Darul Uloom, as per the teachers, has memorized the Quran in merely 38 days.
