The Independent Permanent Human Rights Commission (IPHRC) of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) expressed its concerns over the charges and the amount of punishment granted to the Kashmiri separatist leader Yasin Malik. "OIC-IPHRC condemned illegal conviction of prominent Kashmiri politician Mr. Yassen Malik on concocted charges following sham trial in India. Youth found dead in Ganderbal

A 28-year-old youth was found dead in central Kashmir's Ganderbal district on Saturday. Reports reaching GNS said that the locals spotted the body in the paddy fields at Gadoora and accordingly informed the concerned police station. A team soon after reached the spot and took the body into its possession. A police official told GNS that the body has been identified to be one Shahid Tantray, resident of Gadoora. “A case has been registered in this regard for further investigations”, the official further said. Driver and conductor of a matador were killed when the vehicle they were travelling in fell into Tawi River in Bikram Chowk area of Jammu.
