Nigeen Lake on Saturday witnessed its first fire fighting facility launch at Nigeen club. Divisional Commissioner Pandurang Kondbharao Pole acted as Chief Guest on the occasion. "In the backdrop of recent gruesome fire incidents, numerous heritage properties were reduced to ashes, amid which the absence of aquatic fire fighting tenders was deeply felt by the houseboat owners", said Nigeen Tourist Traders Association NTTA Chairman Manzoor Ahmad Wangnoo while talking to media. A 30-year-old man was killed while another sustained injuries in a road accident at Khansahib area of Central Kashmir's Budgam district. At least 260 people have been arrested across Uttar Pradesh over the 'Agnipath' protests, that has seen hordes of angry youth storming railway premises across cities and small towns and laying siege to highways. The youth are opposed to the newly launched scheme by the Indian Government which has limited the jobs in the Indian Army for a span of four years.
