Massive fire broke out on Saturday evening at Darul uloom Kandimarg Kokernag of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district.
Locals told The Kashmiriyat that at around 5:30 pm, flames started from the roof and spread to the two-storey building.
Meanwhile, fire tenders have rushed to the spot and are trying to bring the fire under control.
Police on Saturday gave ‘final reminder’ regarding affixation of mandatory High Security Registration Plates (HSRP) by June 15.
“This is Final Reminder by Transport/Police/Traffic departments. Mandatory Affixation of HSRP to be done by 15th June 2022 on all vehicles,” police said in a statement, adding, “Failing this all such Vehicles Without HSRP Shall be Seized & RC may also be recommended for Suspension.”
Earlier this week, the Motor Vehicle Department also issued Public Notice drawing the attention of the vehicle owners, whose vehicles have not been affixed with the HSRP, to get their vehicles affixed with HSRP failing which the defaulting vehicles would be seized by the authorities from June 15 and the onus will lie on the owners. At least two Muslim boys were killed during the protest that erupted in Jharkhand's Ranchi after Friday prayers over the insulting remarks on Prophet Mohammad, while ten others were injured.
The Authorities at the Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) in Ranchi confirmed the two deaths, noting that 12 others are currently being treated at the hospital.
The deceased youth were identified as 15-year-young Mudasar and Mohammed Sahil.

A massive blaze broke out on Saturday afternoon at SMHS hospital while the officials said the patients have been rescued and the efforts are on to douse the flames.
An official from Fire and Emergency Services (F&ES) told Kashmir News Observer that the fire broke from Ward number 16 at SMHS hospital.

In a press statement, Police said, Police station Shaltang arrested three persons for uploading the fake news on Facebook regarding the marriage ceremony of a girl from Panzinara claiming that she is about 21 years and the groom is about 44 years and the Mehr in the marriage was fixed at 2 crores 90 lakh and a luxury car was also given to the bride's family as a gift.
