Danishwar Hameed A Bank Manager of Elaqahi Dehati Bank (EDB), Branch Arreh Kulgam, who was shot at and injured in the southern district succumbed to his injuries on Thursday morning. An official told The Kashmiriyat that Vijay Kumar aged 26 who was working in Kashmir in 2018 was fired upon by a masked gunman when he was on duty at the EDB in the Arreh area of Kulgam district. Vijay, a resident of Rajasthan was shifted to the nearby hospital for treatment, however, he succumbed to his injuries at the hospital, the official said. Unknown gunmen fire upon bank employee in Kulgam

Danishwar Hameed A person was shot at by unknown gunmen in the Arreh area of south Kashmir's Kulgam district. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that on Thursday morning unknown gunmen fired upon a bank manager of the Elaqahi Dehati Bank branch in the Arreh area of Kulgam, leaving him critically injured. The employee identified as Vijay Kumar, a resident of Rajasthan was shifted to a nearby hospital in critical condition, they said. Meanwhile, a joint team of government forces reached the spot and laid a cordon to nab the attackers.

Unknown man hit by train in Anantnag, dies

Suhail Dar A man died after being hit by a train in the Muniwar area of south Kashmir's Anantnag district, who is yet to be identified. An official told The Kashmiriyat that on Thursday morning, an unknown person (aged in his 60s) was hit by a train on the railway track in the Muniwar area of Anantnag, causing his on-spot death. The Indian Army on Thursday said that one among the three soldiers injured in a blast at Sedaw Shopian was "critical". “At approximately 0300 a.m., based on specific intelligence, an operation was launched from (Sedaw) COB to lay cordon and search in general area Patitohalan. Two boys in two separate incidents of electrocution died in Central and North Kashmir. A 12-year-old boy died after receiving an electric shock at his home in Mamath hamlet of Central Kashmir's Budgam district on Wednesday. Police sources said that a boy identified as Riyaan Ajaz Mir son of Ajaz Ahmad Mir shortly after receiving an electric shock was rushed to Budgam hospital by family members. A man was shot at by suspected militants in the Keegam area of south Kashmir's Shopian district. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that one civilian identified as Farooq Ahmed Sheikh was shot at in his leg by suspected militants in Shopian's Keegam area, leaving him injured.
