Jammu Kashmir Teachers’ Forum has alleged that the students and teachers are “forced” to contribute money to buy the Indian National Flag to promote the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign, Hindustan Times reported. The first-ever Tiranga rally to Kargil was organized by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) at clock tower, Lal Chowk in Srinagar in which 300 bikers participated. 24-year-young boy goes missing from Baramulla area

The family of a 24-year-young boy who has been missing from Friday  from his home in Kunzer Tangmarg area north Kashmir's Baaramulla district has appealed him to return home. Family members told The Kashmiriyat that Bilal Ahmad Parry a resident of Kunzer Tangmarg went missing on Friday affter he left from home. "He left home for work on Friday but didn't came back until now and his phone went off on 4 pm on Friday," family said The family members have appealed to him to return back. "It is a humble and sincere appeal to everyone to help share this message more and more to get their son to return to him back to the family," the family members said. "We have filed a missing report in Pattan Police station and waiting for their response," he said  

BSF trooper shoots self along international border Post

A Border Security Force (BSF) sub-inspector allegedly shot himself dead at a post along the India-Pakistan international border here on Monday, officials said. Ramdev Singh was found lying in a pool of blood and his personal assault weapon was found by his side when a junior rank soldier reached his room around 6.35 am. He belonged to the 12th battalion and was commanding a platoon of the BSF. He is suspected to have shot himself dead from his service weapon, officials said. A police and a BSF court of inquiry are being conducted to ascertain the cause of the death, they said. Singh hailed from Rajasthan's Sikar district.

Baramulla students, teachers asked to contribute ‘voluntarily’ for Har Ghar Tiranga campaign

The Zonal Education officer In Nehapora area of Pattan in Baramulla Kashmir has directed students in school students to 'voluntarily' deposit rupees 10 for the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign. In a communique sent by the ZEO Nelapora which was accessed by The Kashmiriyat, the official stated, "Complying with CEO Baramulla's zoom meeting instructions I request all heads of schools(both govt and private) to collect ten rupees each student and fifty rupees each employee, hundred rupees each in case of gazetted employees(headmasters, lecturers and principals). The collected money shall be handed over to the concerned PCO. Police on Sunday said to have arrested two bootleggers and recovering from their possession one-hundred thirty bottles of illicit liquor in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district. “A police party from Police Station Baramulla led by SHO Baramulla, Inspector Showkat Ahmad under the supervision of DySP Hqrs Baramulla established a naka at Farooqi point Baramulla. During naka checking two persons roaming in a suspicious manner were stopped for checking.
