The union ministry of Health and Family Welfare on Friday informed the Lok Sabha that one medical college has been approved for Leh at a cost of Rs 325 crore, which is to be shared between Centre and the UT Administration of Ladakh in the ratio of 90:10. Teenage girl found hanging at her home in Anantnag town

Suhail Dar A teenage girl was allegedly found hanging at her home in Anachidoora area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district. Locals told The Kashmiriyat that the 18-year-old girl (name with held) was found hanging at her residence on Friday morning after which her family members rushed her to the hospital. The doctors, on her arrival, at the hospital declared her brought dead. Police have registered a case and started probing the incident.

Remittances to India from Gulf declining sharply: RBI

The share of remittances from the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region to India has declined in 2021, the Reserve Bank of India said, reflecting a slower pace of migration and the presence of the Indian diaspora in informal sectors that were hit the most during the pandemic period. The central bank made these observations in a recent article titled 'Headwinds of Covid-19 and India's Inward Remittances'. Remittances are the second major source of external financing for low and middle-income countries after foreign direct investment. 17-year-young boy goes missing from Kokernag, Family seeks help

The family of a 17-year-young boy who has been missing from Monday  from his home in Kokenag has appealed him to return home. Family members told The Kashmiriyat that Faisal Ahmad Najar son of Ghulam Ahmad Najar a resident of Hiller area of Kokernag in south Kashmir's Anantnag district.
