Elderly man crushed to death by moving train in Pulwama

An elderly man was crushed to death after being hit by a train near Panzgam-Bijbehara section in South Kashmir on Wednesday. An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that Mohammad Afzal of Banduna village of Pulwama was hit by a moving train near his native village, resulting in his on-spot death. 3 students go missing in Kupwara, families urge them to return home

Three students from north Kashmir's Kupwara district have gone missing and their families have appealed them to return home. Police on Tuesday claimed to have arrested a man with country made pistol during routine checking in Jammu. CBI busts rigging racket for NEET-UG, arrests 8 persons

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Monday busted a rigging racket during National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) 2022 for undergraduate medical courses conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) and arrested eight members including the kingpin from Delhi and Haryana. NEET UG-2022 was conducted on July 17 (Sunday) in offline mode between 2 pm and 5.20 pm. According to CBI, one Sushil Ranjan, a resident of Delhi, Brij Mohan Singh, Pappu, Uma Shankar Gupta and unidentified others were involved in arranging solvers who will impersonate themselves as real candidates in the said exam at several exam centres of Delhi and Haryana. Gone Missing Fortnight Before, Body of Srinagar-based Broker Retrieved from River Jhelum

Body of a 34-year-old Srinagar-based broker was found and retrieved from river Jhelum, after have gone missing almost two weeks before from his home here, sources said. They told GNS that the person, Shameem Ali Nath son of Late Ali Mohammad Nath resident of Chattabal Guzerbal, had gone missing around evening of July 5, 2022.
