Saudi leaders meet Biden over bilateral ties

Saudi Arabian leaders met with visiting US President Joe Biden in the city of Jeddah to discuss bilateral relations, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported. Biden, who arrived for a two-day state visit, was received by King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, at the Al-Salam Palace in Jeddah. Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud also attended the meeting, according to SPA. Garbage dumped along road in Ganderbal, Residents suffer

Heaps of garbage have been dumped along Baghwan Mohalla road in Safapora in Ganderbal. Residents told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), that in the absence of bins, residents dump the waste on roads as dogs and cattle squatter upon the waste and feed on it. A local resident said that in the absence of proper waste management, strong stench emanating from these big mounds of garbage has made the lives of residents and commuters miserable. “The garbage mound is the main breeding ground for dogs and has health hazards,” said Manzoor Ahmad, a local resident. Father-daughter duo injured in fire incident in Ganderbal village

A minor girl among two people received burn injuries after a fire broke out in a residential house in Yachihama village of Ganderbal district on Saturday. An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that fire broke in the house of Abdul Majeed Bajad after LPG cylinder leakage. He said that in the fire incident Abdul Majeed Bajad and his 8-year-old daughter namely Nasreena received burn injuries. 8 troopers injured in a head-on collision between a truck and CRPF Casper on Srinagar-Jammu Highway

At least 8 troopers were injured after a truck collided with a CRPF Casper near Goripora Crossing of Awantipora here in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district. Official sources told news agency Kashmir’s News Trust that a truck (JK02V-6165) hit a CRPF vehicle (JK02CN 2597) of 130 Battalion on Srinagar-Jammu Highway, resulting in the injuries of 8 CRPF men. First batch of 145 JK Hajis returns from Saudi Arabia

The first batch of over 145 pilgrims from Jammu and Kashmir returned on Saturday from the annual Haj pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia.
