Minor boy killed in Eidgah accident

A minor boy was killed in a road accident on Ali Jan Road Syedpora, Eidgah area of Srinagar on Friday evening. Official sources told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that an eight-year-old Hudain Mushtaq Bhat, son of Mushtaq Ahmad Bhat of Syedpora Iddgha was hit by a vehicle on Ali Jan road, resulting in his onspot death. After completing the medico-legal formalities, the body was handed over to the family for last rites. Meanwhile, Safakadal Police has taken cognizance of the incident—(KNO)

Two Journalists shot at in UP

Two journalists from leading Hindi newspapers were shot at while they were having tea at a restaurant under Raipur police station in Uttar Pradesh’s Sonbhadra district, police said. The incident took place late Thursday evening and the two journalists were rushed to the BHU Medical College where they were said to be out of danger. Teenage Couple attempts suicide in Srinagar; boy critical, girl dies

In a tragic incident, a couple allegedly committed suicide by hanging themselves in Harwan area of Srinagar on Friday, following which girl died, while boy is stated to be critical and has been hospitalised. New Delhi: Delhi's Patiala House Court on Friday granted bail to Alt News co-founder Mohammed Zubair in a case related to an alleged objectionable tweet case in which he was arrested by Delhi Police last month. Additional Sessions Judge Devender Kumar Jangla on Friday granted bail to Zubair and directed him to deposit a personal bail bond of Rs 50,000 and one like amount surety. Poonch: In a suspected incident of fratricide on Friday morning, three soldiers were killed and one was injured in an alleged shootout inside an Army camp in Jammu and Kashmir’s Surankote area of Poonch district. Srinagar, (KNO): Kashmir University is ahead of Jammu University's overall National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) rankings- 2022. According to the report accessed by news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), Kashmir University has secured 84th position in the overall category while Jammu University is placed at 93rd position.
