An unidentified man was crushed to death by a moving train on Nowgam-Budgam railway section in Central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Saturday morning. Reports reaching to GNS said that train (74626) from Budgam to Banihal hit one unknown person at KM No 65/7 in between Budgam to Srinagar section, resulting in on spot death of a person whose identification is being ascertained. Meanwhile a police official also confirmed to GNS said that a case has been registered in this regard for further investigations.(GNS)

A 55-year-old man was killed while his other family members had narrow escape after a landslide hit his Kacha house in Bandikamakhan area of Mandi in Poonch district, officials said on Friday. They said that the incident happened during night and the man, Abdul Karim Mir (55) was sleeping inside his kacha house. While HE died on spot, the other family members had a miraculous escape. In a handout to GNS, the police said that on routine Naka checking, Police Kreeri arrested one lady drug peddler namely Bilkees Akhter wife of Ab Rehman Malik @ Military resident of Kalantra Payeen, District Baramulla and recovered 250 Grams of Charas like substance from her possession. Reporting reaching The Kashmiriyat said that the Doctor who was a resident of Kulgam district died when he lost control of his vehicle which plunged into a deep gorge in the Sangaldan area. The deceased has been identified as Muzaffar Ahmad Wani S/o Mohd Yousuf Wani, a resident of the Mondhole village area of Devsar tehsil in south Kashmir's Kulgam district.
