Body of a teenager, who drowned in river Jhelum at Soiteng Lasjan area of Srinagar on Monday afternoon, has been fished out, official sources said here. Official sources told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that 14-year-old Asrar Ahmad Dar of Padshahi Bagh drowned in river Jehlum at Soiteng Lasjan while talking a bath. They said that rescue operation was launched to trace out the body and after hectic efforts his body was fished out from Jhelum waters by SDRF team. In a tragic incident, a 6-year-old boy died of electrocution at his home in Nagam Kokernag area of South Kashmir's Anantnsg district on Monday. Reports reaching to GNS said that the boy identified as Kifiyat Ahmad Bhat son of Nazir Ahmad Bhat of Nagam Kokernag received electric shock at his home and he was immediately shifted to Sub District Hospital Kokernag by his family members. However, doctor at the hospital declared him as brought dead on arrival. BMO Kokernag Gowher Ali confirmed death of the minor. People are worried as livestock have fallen sick following an outbreak of the black quarter and foot-and-mouth (FMD) disease in Bahaks of Karnah, where Bakerwals migrate during during the summer.
