Aghast over erratic water supply, IUST hostel students stage protest

Sheikh Nadeem Students of the Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST) in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district staged a protest against the university administration for failing to provide an adequate water supply to the students. Scores of students on Saturday blocked the old Highway road with their empty buckets to highlight the water crisis in the University hostels for the past four days. Speaking to The Kashmiriyat, the students said that it had been four days since they have been facing the drinking water crisis in the university hostels. At least six persons were injured in a road accident that took place in Haknar Gund area of Ganderbal district on Saturday, officials said here.
