Three houses damaged due to incessant rains in Central Kashmir’s Budgam

At least three residential houses were damaged after the land caved in Rawatpora Khag area of Central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Thursday. Official sources told news agency Kashmir News Trust that three houses were damaged after land sunk due to wet weather. They said no local, however, has been injured. The damaged houses belong to Abdul Rashid Dar, Abdul Rashid Rather and Abdul Gani Bhat. Police and some officials from the administration have rushed to the spot to assess the quantum of loss. All the residents have been shifted to a safe location. (KNT)

Authorities have sounded an alert asking people to remain cautious after rise in water level in Chenab river following nightlong rainfall. An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that water level of Chenab, recorded at 09:15 AM, was at the danger mark level. He said that due to nightlong rainfall in the Jammu province, all the tributries feeding water to Chenab got flooded. 25-year old youth dies while playing cricket in Budgam

In a tragic incident, a 25-year-old youth died while playing cricket in the Khansahib area of central Kashmir's Budgam district on Wednesday. An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the youth identified as Raja Nisar son of Ghulam Ahmad Rather fell unconscious while he was playing cricket with his friends at Kudoora cricket ground in Arigam Khansahib.
