Danishwar Hameed An army trooper was injured after army soldier's rifle went off accidentally in Frisal area of south Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Wednesday. A senior police officer told The Kashmiriyat that due to accidental fire one army trooper received bullet wound in finger. Security forces last night launched a cordon and search operation in the Budhal area of J&K’s Rajouri district after some Village Defence Committee (VDC) members fired at “suspicious” persons in the area, sources said on Wednesday. SIA raids multiple locations in Kashmir

State Investigation Agency (SIA) of Jammu Kashmir Police on Wednesday carried out raids at multiple places in Baramulla, Kupwara and Poonch districts in connection with a militancy funding case. Official sources told GNS that SIA personnel with the assistance of police and paramilitary CRPF personnel carried out raids at Baramulla, Tragpora Rafiabad in Baramulla district, three places in Kupwara district, and one place in Poonch. No Radiotherapy facility in south Kashmir’s premier hospital, patients suffer

Hundreds of patients from South Kashmir in need of radiotherapy are suffering in absence of radiotherapy facilities at Government Medical College (GMC) Anantnag. Poor attendants are struggling hard to take their patients on daily basis to SKIMS Soura or SMHS for radiotherapy. Relatives of a 55-year-old cancer patient from Kulgam told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), that their patients has undergone multiple chemotherapy sessions, however, he is in need of radiotherapy now. Six Pakistan Army personnel killed in Balochistan helicopter crash: ISPR

The Pakistan Army helicopter that had gone missing last evening in Balochistan crashed, leaving six military personnel killed, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Tuesday. The military chopper had gone missing as it was en route from Quetta to Karachi at around 5:30pm. The personnel in the chopper were overseeing the flood relief efforts in the southwest of the country. Above normal monsoon rains and deadly flooding have hit Pakistan hard this year, killing hundreds of people so far and wreaking havoc, particularly in Balochistan.
