Decade on, Shopian’s Animal Husbandry centre awaits completion
After 10 years, building of a vital animal husbandry centre in upper belt of Shopian is incomplete causing inconvenience to people.
Locals from Zawoora village of Shopian told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), that authorities after repeated requests started construction of the Veterinary Centre in 2012 but since then they are waiting for its completion.
Shakeel Khan, a local, said that the under-construction building was abandoned by the concerned authorities.
He said that one storey of the centre was completed in 2013 and then work stopped only to be started again for construction of second storey two years ago. Since then, it remains abandoned again.
