Unemployment rate in Jammu Kashmir reaches record breaking numbers; highest in several years

Driver Killed in Anantnag Road Mishap

Driver of a vehicle was killed in a fatal road mishap at Larnoo area in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Friday evening. Reports reaching GNS said that a vehicle driven by one Ghulam Rasool Deka son of Sonuallaha Deka, resident of Dessu Daksum met with an accident at Gawran in Larnoo, resulting in critical injuries to the driver. Man ends life in Police lock-up in Rajouri

A man committed suicide by hanging himself inside a police lock-up in Rajouri district on Friday morning, official sources said. Identifying him as Abdul Majid of Parghal Darhal, they told GNS the individual was in custody on a police remand.
