Property worth lakhs damaged in fire incident in Soura Srinagar

Property worth lakhs was destroyed in a pre-dawn conflagration incident in the Soura area of Srinagar outskirts on Sunday. Local sources told news agency Kashmir News Trust that flames emanated from the office of ‘Builders Concept’ and before the fire could be controlled by firefighters, property worth lakhs turned into ashes. The office building that is located on 90 Feet Soura Road is owned by Muzamil Ahmed Dar. Police have registered a case to ascertain the cause of the fire. Sources added that firefighters, local police, and natives managed to douse the fire and thus stop it from spreading to adjacent buildings. (KNT)

Police in North Kashmir’s Bandipora district have attached a residential house for wilfully sheltering and harbouring militants after obtaining sanction from competent authority. In a statement, issued to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), a spokesperson said that police attached the residential house of one person namely Bashir Ahmad Mir of Wanpora Gurez at present Watrina after obtaining legal sanction from the competent authorities. Unidentified persons in intervening night of Saturday-Sunday stole an Automated Teller Machine (ATM) of JK bank and decamped with cash in Panzan Chadoora area of central Kashmir’s Budgam district. A police officer told news agency Kashmir Dot Com that unidentified persons entered into JK Bank ATM, located at Panzan in Budgam and looted cash along with the ATM machine. One dead, Several others injured in Poonch road accident

One person died and several others injured in a road accident after a passenger bus met with an accident near Khanetar area of Poonch district on Saturday afternoon. Reports reaching to GNS said that a passenger bus bearing registration number JK02BH-8493 met with an accident which resulted in on spot of death of a man and injury to several others. The injured persons immediately refereed to near by hospital for treatment. A police official also confirmed to GNS about the accident and said that a case has been registered in this regard.
