The Jammu Kashmir police on Monday claimed to have solved the mysterious death of a lady by arresting two accused persons including her elder son involved in her murder, who had a criminal conspiracy to snatch money from the deceased. A police spokesman in a statement issued to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) said that on 21-10-2022, information was received by Police Station Mattan District Anantnag to the effect that a lady namely Razia Akhtar, wife of Manzoor Ahmad Khan of Kehribal, aged about 45 years had slipped from a concrete slab. “She was shifted to GMC Anantnag for treatment. Thirteen Kashmiri Pandit families, who migrated from a village in south Kashmir amid 'targeted' killings of members of their community, demanded on Monday that the administration register as ''migrants''. Of the 13 families comprising 43 members, 10 had left Choudharygund village in Shopian district and reached Jammu on October 26. The remaining three had reached the city earlier. The Directorate of School Education Kashmir (DSEK) on Monday issued new timings for schools falling in the winter zone. In a communique, a copy of which lies with the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), DSEK said that timings for the schools falling within Srinagar Municipal limits would be from 10 am to 3 pm and for schools falling outside the municipal limits of Srinagar and another area of Kashmir province it would be 10:30 am to 3:30 pm. Police on Monday claimed to have arrested two militant associates affliated with Lashkar-i-Toiba oufit in Kellar area of South Kashmir’s Shopian district. A senior police officer told GNS that on a specific input a joint team of Police, army and CRPF during searches arrested two LeT militant associates. They have been identified as Gowhar Manzoor Bhat and Abid Hussain Nanda both resident of Drabgam Pulwama.
