Suhail Dar Players of the international Cricketing squad for the United Arab Emirates will play with Kashmiri willow-made bats in the upcoming T20 World Cup in Australia scheduled from October 16. Dengue cases in Jammu Kashmir are on the surge as over 2400 cases have been reported so far this year. A total of 9487 tests for Dengue have been conducted so far this year in J&K and out of which 2426 reported positive, Daily Excelsior reported. “Out of total 2426 cases, only 3 cases have been reported from the Kashmir region and that too of non-locals while 5 cases of locals were reported from other States/UTs,” the newspaper quoted the sources as having said. 7-year-old boy killed in Leopard attack in Handwara

A minor boy was killed in a leopard attack in the Golipora Rajwara area of Handwara in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district. Around ten thousand trucks, including 8820 laden with fruit have moved from Srinagar to Jammu through Jammu-Srinagar national highway from last 24 hours, officials said. MeT predicts cloudy weather in Jammu Kashmir during next 24 hours

The Meteorological (MeT) department said on Monday that Jammu Kashmir will likely witness partly cloudy weather with light rain during the next 24 hours. The weather was partly cloudy during the last 24 hours. “Partly cloudy weather with light rain at isolated places is likely during the next 24 hours in J&K,” an official of the MeT department said. Srinagar had 11.8, Pahalgam 9.1 and Gulmarg 5.2 degrees Celsius as the minimum temperature. Drass town in Ladakh region had 3.5 and Kargil 7.4 as the minimum temperature.
