The Directorate of School education, has ordered change in school timings in Kashmir Valley from 1st Oct. In an order, a copy of which lies with The Kashmiriyat, the Directorate has said, “All the Government and Private(recognized) Schools of Kashmir Division shall observe school timings as 9:00 am to 3:00 pm within Municipal limits of Srinagar city and 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.” "In areas falling outside Municipal limits of Srinagar w.e.f 01.10.2022,” it further reads.

Weatherman has forecast mainly dry weather with possibility of “isolated light rain and thunder” in Jammu and Kashmir in next 24 hours. A meteorological department official here told GNS that no large change was expected during the subsequent two days and weather was mostly likely to remain mainly dry. As regards the mercury, he said that Srinagar recorded a low of 11.4°C, same as on the previous night.
