Poland stepped up its security on Tuesday as NATO prepared to hold emergency talks after Russia was blamed for a missile landing within Poland's territory- an alliance member of NATO. Two people were reportedly killed in the explosion at a farm near the Polish village of Przewodow, about four miles inside Poland's border with Ukraine. Meanwhile, the Turkish president has denied Russia's involvement in the blast saying Russia had nothing to do with the explosion. Sopore town in Baramulla district, which is considered as the second largest town in the Valley, is witnessing heavy traffic jams but the lack of traffic cops to regulate vehicular traffic worsens the situation. Migrant worker injured in Anantnag militant attack on Nov 03, succumbs

A migrant worker, who was injured after being fired upon by militants in South Kashmir Anantnag district on November 03, succumbed to his injuries on Tuesday evening at SKIMS Soura. An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that two migrants workers were injured after being attacked by militants in Bondialgam area of Anantnag on November 03. He said that both the injured were shifted to a hospital for treatment and one among them was referred to SKIMS Soura for advanced treatment on November 04. He added that the injured worker, however, succumbed to his injuries today evening at SKIMS Soura. Two shops were damaged in a fire mishap in Hartrath Pattan area of north Kashmir Baramulla district on Wednesday. Official sources told KNA that fire broke out in the Hartrath market in which two shops belonging to Mashooq Ahmed Khan son of Mushtaq Ahmed Khan (hotel owner) and Mushtaq Ahmed Khan son of Abdul Rashid Khan ( kiryana Shop) located at Hartrath were gutted. Thay said that fire was brought under control by the help of police and fire service as well as locals and no loss of life, injury was reported. Body of an unidentified person, apparently non-local, was recovered from Soura area of the Srinagar on Tuesday evening. A senior police officer told GNS that the body was found on a roadside this evening and investigations have been launched. Later in a tweet, police said, “One unidentified dead body seemingly of a non-local was found lying on road in soura area of Srinagar. Prima facie seems unnatural death.” It said inquest proceedings have been started under CrPC 174. “Body sent for post-mortem. The Union Home Minister Amit Shah has said that the security situation in Jammu Kashmir (J&K) is satisfactory enough for Assembly elections to be held, News 18 reported. Amit Shah said that the decision, however, has to be taken by the Election Commission. Several villages in south Kashmir's Shopian district have been reeling under acute shortage of water for the past many years, causing hardships to the locals. The harsh winter is already knocking at the door of the village Shadab Karewa in South Kashmir's Shopian district, and residents of Bhat Mohalla, Khan Mohalla, Tulsi Mohalla and Mir Mohalla are suffering from a severe water shortage that is not expected to end soon.
