Intel agencies warn of attacks on non-locals, Politicians and ex-servicemen in Jammu Kashmir

Intelligence agencies have warned of attacks in Jammu Kashmir and said that Lashkar e Taiba is planning for attacks on non-locals, politicians, and ex-servicemen. According to a report by India Today, the Government forces have tracked the movement of a local militant and two Pakistanis in the Baramulla area of Jammu Kashmir who are likely to target political leaders, non locals and ex-servicemen. The intelligence units have said the terrorists might use hand grenades or IEDs for the attacks, the report added. Suhail Dar Three militants have been killed during the encounter in the Awantipora area of south Kashmir's Pulwama district. An official told The Kashmiriyat that Jammu Kashmir Police, CRPF, and RR of the Indian Army laid a cordon and search operation in the Awantipora area following an input about militant presence in the area.
