Mentally unsound man loses both feet in train accident in central Kashmir

A 32-year-old “mentally unsound” man was seriously injured after being hit by a train around Mazhoom Pattan section in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Tuesday. Official sources told GNS that the man identified as Nazeer Ahmad Dar of Aarampora village of the area lost both of his feet in the incident. He was later shifted to local hospital where from he has been referred to SKIMS Soura , they said. A case has been registered under relevant sections of the law, they added. (GNS)

Twitter banned 52,141 accounts in India for promoting child sexual exploitation, non-consensual nudity, and allied content between August 26 and September 25. The micro-blogging platform, now owned by Elon Musk, also took down 1,982 accounts for promoting terrorism on its platform in the country. Amid the prediction of wet weather in the first week of November, apple growers in Kashmir are caught in a deep sea as they are worried that they can't pick apples and carry out pruning simultaneously. Growers from different areas of Kashmir, mainly Shopian, told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), that their 30-40 percent produce is still on trees and it is impossible to completely pick the fruit within two or three days.
