Eighty percent of work on the Wayil Bridge has been completed so far, the Roads & Building Department Ganderbal said while assuring that the bridge will be ready before January next year. Talking to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), Executive Engineer R&B Department Tatheer Manzoor acknowledged that the locals face a lot of inconvenience due to traffic diversion near the Wayil Bridge. Elderly woman slips into Nallah in Kulgam, dies

An elderly woman drowned in a Nallah in Tangmarg village of of South Kashmir's Kulgam district on Sunday. An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the woman identified as Haneefa Begum (65) wife of Ghulam Mohammad Mir of Manzgam was walking on the banks of Veshow Nallah when she slipped and drowned. HC upholds SMC’s dismissal of ‘media assistant’

The High Court of JK and Ladakh Friday dismissed a petition seeking its directions to quash the order of Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) dated September 9 by which the services of Masrat Yousuf as media assistant were terminated.
